Delta Faucet 2015 Contractor and Apprentice of the Year Awards​

Delta Faucet Company and the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors – National Association presented their highest plumbing honors to Harley Perry and Brandon Pettway as Contractor and Apprentice of the Year, respectively, at CONNECT 2015 in Hollywood, Fls.

Contractor of the Yea

Owner of Perry Plumbing, Heating & Air, Harley Perry has been involved with the PHCC for more than 30 years and was described as an innovator, industry leader and consummate professional at the PHCC Awards Luncheon. He was credited with forming the San Diego Apprenticeship Program in 2008 and has served the PHCC-San Diego chapter in most every capacity including as president in 2008-2009. He currently serves as president of the PHCC Academy of San Diego.

"Mr. Perry's dedication to the PHCC has played a vital role in the organization's success and more so, the success of the Apprenticeship Program," said Kelly Anderson, former PHCC-San Diego president. "He and his staff exemplify the code of ethics among true professionals, raising the bar here in California."

Perry Plumbing's comprehensive 2011 rebranding campaign resulted in increased sales and profitability touting a revamped website, influencer engagement activity, concentrated SEO efforts, cable television advertising and an elevated social media presence.

Beyond his continued company leadership, Perry actively gives back to the industry and community through his work with the Bonita Optimist Club, South County Economic Development Council and Challenge Air San Diego. He encourages technicians to practice random acts of kindness such as changing a light bulb and provides free service calls for needy customers during the holiday season.

Apprentice of the Year

Brandon Pettway works for Bill Howe Plumbing, Heating and Air and is entering his fourth year of his plumbing apprenticeship at the PHCC Academy of San Diego. He was recognized for being a model apprentice, mentor to his peers and for his dedication to the advancement of the plumbing industry.

A recipient of the San Diego PHCC Chapter's 2012 Paul D. Chilson Scholarship, Pettway is credited with the pride he takes in his work and community. He mentors those in the pre-apprentice training program and volunteers to encourage best practices and responsibility among future industry leaders. Pettway was honored for his work ethic, meticulous performance and excellent communication skills.
