Detroit Lakes, Minn. – SJE-Rhombus, a global manufacturer of water and wastewater controls for residential, commercial, industrial and municipal applications, acquired ICS Healy-Ruff, a manufacturer and integrator of control systems for municipal water and wastewater use. SJE-Rhombus positions ICS Healy-Ruff within PRIMEX, the company’s business dedicated to engineered water control systems for municipalities.

Founded in 1982, ICS Healy-Ruff, based in Plymouth, Minnesota, employs over 60 professionals specializing in custom controls and system integration, cloud-based SCADA solutions and application solutions that include: VPAC and LC series control products, systems management and information services. The SJE-Rhombus acquisition includes ICS Healy-Ruff’s exclusive Evoqua products and expanded distribution through Evoqua dealers.

SJE-Rhombus continues to grow organically and through acquisition as the largest provider of complete control solutions for water applications in North America, offering a broad end-to-end suite of products and services, from standard pump controls for residential homes to highly complex engineered custom control systems for large municipalities. PRIMEX, with the addition of ICS Healy-Ruff, builds technologically sophisticated control solutions for municipalities.

“PRIMEX has become a one-stop source for all the municipal customers’ needs, where they can have access to the best teams in research and development, customer service, design, engineering, production and field service – for every aspect of their projects, across North America. “

PRIMEX, the SJE-Rhombus Engineered Municipal and Industrial brand, was formed by SJE-Rhombus in 2013 by combining CSI Controls, Control Works, Inc., Best Controls Company and SJE-Rhombus’ engineered panel business. Since then PRIMEX has designed, built and installed systems for municipalities across the U.S. and Canada, developing a growing reputation for exceptional customer service, fast turnaround for quotes, and high standards for quality and reliability. The business offers UL 508A, UL 698A, UL NNNY certifications and other approvals as specified.

“No other provider has the capabilities and expertise of PRIMEX,” added Gary Kakach, founder of ICS Healy-Ruff, who, along with partner Warren Schimunek, continue with the company. “We look forward to bringing together our teams to focus exclusively on serving the unique needs of municipal customers.”
